English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once barley bread and old oil were brought to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the coat of mail of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was mortgaged with a Jew in Madinah Munawwarah; the Prophet (ﷺ) had taken some barley from him for a few months. And one day I heard him saying that this evening, there is not even a sa’ of grain or wheat with the family of Muhammad (ﷺ), and at that time the Prophet (ﷺ) had nine pure wives.
