حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ: شَكَوْنَا إِلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ مَا نَلْقَى مِنَ الْحَجَّاجِ فَقَالَ: " اصْبِرُوا، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ عَامٌ أَوْ يَوْمٌ إِلَّا الَّذِي بَعْدَهُ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ، حَتَّى تَلْقَوْا رَبَّكُمْ " سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Zubair bin Adi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we complained to Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the oppression of Hajjaj bin Yusuf. He said, "Be patient, because every year or day that comes after will be worse than the one before, until you meet your Lord. I heard this from your Prophet (ﷺ)."
