Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: On the Day of Resurrection, a person from among the people of Hell, who will have the lightest punishment, will be asked: "Tell me, if you had everything that is on the face of the earth, would you give it as ransom for yourself?" He will say, "Yes!" Allah will say, "I asked you for something even lighter than this in the world. I took a covenant from you in the loins of Adam that you would not associate anyone with Me, but you did not accept without committing shirk."
