Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) was on a journey or expedition and night would fall, he would supplicate: O earth! My Lord and your Lord is Allah. I seek refuge in Allah from your evil, the evil within you, the evil of what has been created in you, and the evil of those who walk upon you. I seek refuge in Allah from every lion and black creature, from snakes and scorpions, from the evil of the inhabitants of the town, and from the evil of father and offspring.
