حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ،، ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ: عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ، فَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَأَذَّنَ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ، ثُمَّ أَقَامَ فَصَلَّى، فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْغَدِ أَخَّرَ حَتَّى أَسْفَرَ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُقِيمَ فَصَلَّى، ثُمَّ دَعَا الرَّجُلَ، فَقَالَ: " مَا بَيْنَ هَذَا وَهَذَا وَقْتٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about the time of the Fajr prayer. So the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to establish the prayer at the time of the break of dawn, and the prayer was performed. Then, on the next day, he led the prayer when there was ample light, and said: "Where is the one who asked about the time of the Fajr prayer?" The time for the Fajr prayer is between these two times.
