حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ ابْنٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ: أَبُو عُمَيْرٍ، فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُضَاحِكُهُ قَالَ: فَرَآهُ حَزِينًا، فَقَالَ: " يَا أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Talha's (may Allah be pleased with him) son—whose name was Abu Umair—used to joke and play with the Prophet (ﷺ). One day, the Prophet (ﷺ) saw him sad and said, "O Abu Umair! What happened to the Nughair (the little bird that had died)?"
