حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " كَانَتْ دِرْعُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرْهُونَةً مَا وَجَدَ مَا يَفْتَكُّهَا حَتَّى مَاتَ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the armor of the Prophet (ﷺ) was held as collateral, and there was not enough money to redeem it, until he (ﷺ) departed from this world in that state.
