Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, four of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) front teeth were broken and he was also wounded on his forehead, so much so that the blood began to flow on his blessed face. Upon this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “How can a people prosper who treat their Prophet in this manner while he is calling them towards their Lord?” Then this verse was revealed: “You have no authority in the matter, whether Allah turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers.”
