حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ شَهِدْتُهُ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ، فَصَلَّى قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْطُبَ بِلا أَذَانٍ وَلا إِقَامَةٍ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ. فَقَالَ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ نَهَى أَنْ تَأْكُلُوا نُسُكَكُمْ بَعْدَ ثَلاثِ لَيَالٍ، فَلا تَأْكُلُوهَا بَعْدُ (٢) "، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Abu `Ubaid, the freed slave of ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Awf, said:
Then I was present with ‘Ali. He prayed before delivering the khutbah, with no adhan or iqamah, then he delivered the khutbah. He said: O people, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade eating from your sacrificial animals after three days, so do not eat from them after today.
