Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: " مِنْ كُلِّ اللَّيْلِ أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَأَوْسَطِهِ وَآخِرِهِ، وَانْتَهَى وِتْرُهُ إِلَى آخِرِهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed Witr at all times of the night, at the beginning, in the middle and at the end, but in the end his Witr was at the end of the night
