Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ قَاعِدًا يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ عَلَى فُرْضَةٍ مِنْ فُرَضِ الْخَنْدَقِ، فَقَالَ: " شَغَلُونَا عَنِ الصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى حَتَّى غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ،، ، مَلَأَ اللهُ بُطُونَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ نَارًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from `Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Prophet (ﷺ) was sitting at one of the crossing points of the ditch on the day of al-Khandaq and he said:
`They distracted us from the middle prayer until the sunset. May Allah fill their bellies and their houses with fire.”
