حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو وَكِيعٍ الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَلِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ يَرِيمَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ الْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ فَصَاعِدًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) instructed us to check the eyes and ears [of animals for sacrifice].
