Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَمَمْتُمُ النَّاسَ فَخَفِّفُوا، فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الْكَبِيرَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَالصَّغِيرَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: When you lead the prayer as an imam, make the prayer light, because among the worshippers are the elderly, the weak, and children.
