حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: " إِذَا حُدِّثْتُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا فَظُنُّوا بِهِ الَّذِي هُوَ أَهْيَا، وَالَّذِي هُوَ أَهْدَى، وَالَّذِي هُوَ أَتْقَى " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman as-Sulami said:
‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: If I narrate to you a hadeeth from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), then think of him in the best manner, the most guided manner, the most pious manner.
