حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي، لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated marfu‘an from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that if I had not feared hardship for my ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak.
