حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ يَعْنِي الْمُعَلِّمَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْمُطَّلِبَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ الْمَخْزُومِيَّ، يَقُولُ:، ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ طَعَامٍ أَجِدُهُ حَلَالًا فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِأَنَّهُ مَحَشَتْهُ النَّارُ (١) قَالَ: فَجَمَعَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ حَصًى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: أَشْهَدُ عَدَدَ هَذَا الْحَصَى لَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Matlab bin Abdullah says that once Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "Should I perform a new ablution after eating those things which I find lawful in the Noble Qur'an?" Upon this, Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) gathered the pebbles lying in front of him and said: "I bear witness, as many times as the number of these pebbles, that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Perform ablution after eating anything cooked on fire."
