حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَقِيلٍ، زُهْرَةُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ (١) : أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثٍ لَا أَدَعُهُنَّ حَتَّى أَمُوتَ: " أَوْصَانِي بِرَكْعَتَيِ الضُّحَى، وَبِصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَأَنْ لَا أَنَامَ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that my beloved friend (ﷺ) advised me regarding three things, which I will not leave until my death: (1) to perform two rak'ahs of Duha prayer, (2) to fast three days every month, (3) to perform Witr prayer before sleeping.
