حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ الضَّمْرِيِّ الْمَدَنِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ، يَقُولُ: أَشْهَدُ لَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يَحْلِفُ عِنْدَ هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ عَبْدٌ وَلَا أَمَةٌ عَلَى يَمِينٍ آثِمَةٍ، وَلَوْ عَلَى سِوَاكٍ رَطْبٍ، إِلَّا وَجَبَتْ لَهُ النَّارُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever, man or woman, swears a false oath near this pulpit, even if it is about a fresh miswak, Hell becomes obligatory for him.
