حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَتَمَنَّى أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ، إِمَّا مُسِيءٌ فَيَسْتَغْفِرُ، أَوْ مُحْسِنٌ فَيَزْدَادُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: None of you should wish for death, because if he is righteous, it is possible that his good deeds may increase, and if he is sinful, it is possible that he may repent.
