حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " كُلُّ أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، فَيَقُولُ: لَوْ أَنَّ اللهَ هَدَانِي. فَيَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ (١) حَسْرَةً " قَالَ: " وَكُلُّ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ يَرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ، فَيَقُولُ: لَوْلَا أَنَّ اللهَ هَدَانِي. قَالَ: فَيَكُونُ لَهُ شُكْرًا (٢) " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Every inhabitant of Hell is shown his expected place in Paradise, and he wishes that if only Allah had honored him with guidance, and this becomes a cause of regret for him. Similarly, every inhabitant of Paradise is shown his expected place in Hell, and he thinks that if Allah had not guided me, I would have been here, and then he gives thanks for this.
