English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said while delivering a sermon: "O people, Allah has made Hajj to the House of Allah obligatory upon you, so perform Hajj." A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Is it every year?" The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) remained silent at this. The questioner repeated his question three times. Upon this, the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If I had said 'yes,' it would have become obligatory upon you to perform Hajj every year, and you would not have been able to do it." Then he said, "As long as I leave you, you also leave me (i.e., do not ask unnecessary questions). Because the previous nations were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreements with their prophets (peace be upon them). Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you to do, do it to the best of your ability. And when I forbid you from something, then leave it."
