Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ: عَبْدِي، أَمَتِي، وَلْيَقُلْ: فَتَايَ وَفَتَاتِي " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: None of you should say regarding his slave, "My slave, my maid," rather he should say, "My young man, my young woman."
