حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: شَكَوْتُ إِلَى عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَوْمًا مَنَعُونِي مَاءً فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ: وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ مَاءٍ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُسْتَغْنَى عَنْهُ، وَلَا فَضْلُ مَرْعَى " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated marfu‘an from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that surplus water should not be withheld, nor should surplus grass be prevented.
