Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ (١) : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Guard yourselves against suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech."
