حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا سَكِرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، ثُمَّ إِنْ سَكِرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، ثُمَّ إِنْ سَكِرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, then flog him again. If he drinks a third time, then flog him again. And if he drinks a fourth time, then execute him.
