Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu al-Qasim (ﷺ) said: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), if you knew what I know, you would begin to weep much and laugh little.
