حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا شِهَابُ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثُمَّ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Abd Khair said:
I heard ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) say: The best of this ummah after its Prophet (ﷺ) is Abu Bakr, then ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both.
