حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: وَكَانَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا وَالنَّاسُ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ مِنَ الْمَطْهَرَةِ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ فَإِنَّ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " وَيْلٌ لِلْعَقِبِ مِنَ النَّارِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Muhammad bin Ziyad says that once Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by some people who were performing ablution. Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "May Allah have mercy on you, perform ablution thoroughly. Have you not heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell'?"
