حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْأَشْعَثُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ فُقِدَتْ، فَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ: الْفَأْرُ هِيَ أَمْ لَا أَلَا تَرَى أَنَّهَا إِذَا وُضِعَ لَهَا أَلْبَانُ الْإِبِلِ لَمْ تَطْعَمْهُ؟ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: A group from the Children of Israel went missing; no one could find out where they went. I think that they became mice. Do you not observe that if camel's milk is placed before them, they do not drink it?
