حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ، فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ، وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ، فَإِذَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ، فَخُذُوا مِنْهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ، وَإِذَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ، فَانْتَهُوا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When I leave you regarding a matter, then you also leave me regarding it, because the nations before you were destroyed only due to excessive questioning and differing with their prophets. Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you, do it to the best of your ability.
