Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَصُومُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، إِلَّا وَقَبْلَهُ يَوْمٌ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ يَوْمٌ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not fast only on the day of Friday unless you also fast a day before it or a day after it.
