حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَعُودُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ أَكَلَ حَتَّى إِذَا شَبِعَ قَاءَ، ثُمَّ عَادَ فِي قَيْئِهِ فَأَكَلَهُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The example of a person who gives a gift to someone and then takes it back is like that of a dog who eats to his fill, and when his belly is full, he vomits, and then licks up and eats his vomit again.
