حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تَجَاوَزَ لِأُمَّتِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا، مَا لَمْ تَكَلَّمْ بِهِ، أَوْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: My Ummah has been given concession that there will be no accountability for the thoughts that arise in their minds, provided that they do not act upon those thoughts or express them with their tongues.
