حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَأْتُونَ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ (١) الْمَسْجِدِ يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا - قَالَ حَمَّادٌ: أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ: خَمْسَ مِرَارٍ - جَاءَ فُلَانٌ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ، جَاءَ فُلَانٌ فَأَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْجُمُعَةَ، إِذَا (٢) لَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْخُطْبَةَ (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: On the day of Friday, the angels stand at the doors of the mosque and record the ranks of the people, that such-and-such person came at such-and-such time, such-and-such person came at such-and-such time, such-and-such person came when the Imam was delivering the sermon, and such-and-such person came and only got the prayer but did not get the Friday (reward). They write this as long as no one has missed the sermon.
