حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ "، قُلْتُ لِيَحْيَى: مَا يَعْنِي بِالْأَسْوَدَيْنِ؟ قَالَ: " الْحَيَّةَ، وَالْعَقْرَبَ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had commanded that even during prayer, two black things can be killed. Yahya explained the two black things as the snake and the scorpion.
