حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ فَأْرَةٍ وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ، فَمَاتَتْ؟ فَقَالَ: " إِنْ كَانَ جَامِدًا فَخُذُوهَا، وَمَا حَوْلَهَا، وَكُلُوا مَا بَقِيَ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مَائِعًا، فَلَا تَأْكُلُوهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Once someone asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) about the ruling if a mouse dies in ghee. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: If the ghee is solid, then remove the part (where the mouse fell) and the ghee around it, and then use the remaining ghee. But if the ghee is in liquid form, then do not use it.
