حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أُرْسِلَ عَلَى أَيُّوبَ جَرَادٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَجَعَلَ يَلْتَقِطُهُ، فَقَالَ: أَلَمْ أُغْنِكَ يَا أَيُّوبُ؟ فَقَالَ: يَا رَبِّ، وَمَنْ يَشْبَعُ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ "، أَوْ قَالَ: " مِنْ فَضْلِكَ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Once Allah Almighty showered golden locusts upon Ayub (peace be upon him). Ayub (peace be upon him) began to gather them in his garment. Then a voice came: O Ayub! Is what We have given you not sufficient for you? He submitted: O Lord! Who can be free of need from Your grace?
