حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ مُضَارِبِ بْنِ حَزْنٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَعْنِي لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: هَلْ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ خَلِيلِكَ شَيْئًا تُحَدِّثُنِيهِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٣) : " لَا عَدْوَى، وَلَا هَامَةَ، وَخَيْرُ الطِّيَرِ الْفَأْلُ، وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ " (٤)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: No disease is contagious, and there is no reality in considering the owl as a bad omen. The best omen is a good one, and the evil eye is true.
