Musnad Ahmad Hadith 10271

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, the angels stand at the doors of the mosque and record the ranks of the people: so-and-so came first, second, and third. Abu Ayyub says that once on the day of Friday, I entered the mosque with Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him). He saw a boy and said, "O boy! Go outside and play." He replied, "I have come to the mosque." This question and answer happened twice. Then Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Sit until the Imam comes." He said, "Very well." Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Until the Imam comes out, after that the records are folded up."
