حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، وَمِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - قَالَ هِشَامٌ: - قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَوَقَفَهُ مِسْعَرٌ - قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تَجَاوَزَ لِأُمَّتِي عَمَّا حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا، مَا لَمْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ أَوْ تَكَلَّمْ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty has granted my Ummah this concession that they will not be held accountable for the whispers that arise in their minds, provided that they do not act upon them or express them with their tongues.
