حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " لَوْ جُعِلَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ - أَوْ (٢) لِأَحَدِكُمْ - مِرْمَاتَانِ حَسَنَتَانِ، أَوْ عَرْقٌ مِنْ شَاةٍ سَمِينَةٍ لَأَتَوْهَا أَجْمَعُونَ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا - يَعْنِي الْعِشَاءَ وَالصُّبْحَ - لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا، وَلَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ، ثُمَّ آتِيَ أَقْوَامًا يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْهَا - أَوْ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ - فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If any of you were certain that he would receive a thick, fat bone or two fine hoofs, he would surely join me in prayer (according to another narration, even in the Isha prayer). My heart desires that I order a man to lead the prayer, then I go to those people who do not participate in the congregational prayer and set fire to their houses.
