حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَوْ كَانَ الْعِلْمُ بِالثُّرَيَّا، لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ " (٤)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: If knowledge were to be found even at the Pleiades star, some people from among the sons of Persia would surely acquire it from there.
