حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ، أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَمْرٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَأَمَرَ فِيهِ بِأَمْرٍ، ثُمَّ حَمَلَ الْحَسَنَ أَوِ الْحُسَيْنَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ، وَإِنَّ لُعَابَهُ ليَسِيلُ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَلُوكُ تَمْرَةً مِنْ تَمْرِ، ، الصَّدَقَةِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " أَلْقِهَا، أَمَا شَعَرْتَ أَنَّ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَا يَأْكُلُونَ الصَّدَقَةَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some dates of charity were brought to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) gave an order regarding them, and seated either Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) or Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) on his shoulder. His saliva began to flow onto the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) looked up and saw a date in his mouth. The Prophet (ﷺ) put his hand in and took the date out of his mouth and said: "Do you not know that the family of Muhammad (ﷺ) does not eat charity?"
