Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَمَّا فَرَغَ اللهُ مِنَ الْخَلْقِ، كَتَبَ عَلَى عَرْشِهِ: رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: When Allah decided to create the creation, He wrote in a book which is with Him above the Throne: "My mercy prevails over My wrath."
