Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَوْمًا بِطَعَامٍ سُخْنٍ فَأَكَلَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مَا دَخَلَ بَطْنِي طَعَامٌ سُخْنٌ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا
.
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“One day some hot food was brought to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he ate. Then when he had finished he said: ‘Praise is to Allah, no hot food has entered my stomach since such and such a time.’”
