Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ وَكُلُّ خَمْرٍ حَرَامٌ
.
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Every intoxicant is Khamr (wine) and every Khamr is unlawful.”
