حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَأَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏

‏ اسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَإِنِ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ زَبِيبَةٌ ‏

‏ ‏.‏

Translation

English translation

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Listen and obey, even if the one appointed over you is an Ethiopian slave with a head like a raisin.”
