Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِلَى مَكَّةَ نَهَاهُ عَنْ شِفِّ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ .
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from 'Ata that 'Attab bin Asid said that :
when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent him to Makkah, he forbade him from profiting off of what he did not possess.
