Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ
إِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ اللَّئِيمِ
.
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade vows and said: 'They are just a means of taking wealth from the miserly."'
