حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ خَرَجَ عُمَرُ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ بِأَىِّ شَىْءٍ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقْرَأُ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ؟ قَالَ بِـ {ق} وَاقْتَرَبَتْ .
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ubaidullah bin ‘Abdullah said:
“Umar went out on the day of ‘Eid and sent word to Abu Waqid Al-Laithi asking what the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite on this day. He said: ‘Qaf [Qaf (50)] and ‘Iqtarabat’.” [Al-Qamar (54)]
